The Way In Is Not The Way Out, European Architecture Student Assembly (EASA), Benidorm, Spain, 2024
A process-based workshop that involves walking, recording, mapping, wandering, and copying exercises from the previous “Do people like your feet? ” workshop (which itself copies other past walking workshops). Drawing on these more radical ways of experiencing place, the workshop explores ideas of psychogeography. As tutors, we facilitated this exploratory process, encouraging but not restricting it to hand-drawn emotional maps (provided) alongside everyday smartphone media (video, photo, voice memos, music).
The outcome of the workshop was a folding zine and a public group performance. (See video below)
