“The Way In Is Not The Way Out” is a workshop co-developed and co-led by myself and my collaborator Monty Williams for EASA Shanzhai in Benidorm, Spain in the summer of 2024.
A process-based workshop that involves exploring, recording, mapping, moving, and copying from methods found in the ‘Do people like your feet?’ workshop (which in itself copies other past walking workshops). Drawing from these more radical ways of experiencing place, we’ll add to past workshop processes by sharing our explorations in the form of emotional maps. Such maps may be analogue or digital, spontaneous or measured. As tutors we aim to share inspirations from our own practices and other artists in connected fields, facilitating our participants’ emotive representations of Benidorm.
