Ke Zhang is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and thinker currently based in Toronto, Canada. Ke holds an MFA with distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London, and an honours BA in Architecture and Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. Ke’s practice encompasses sculpture, drawing, photography, installation, video, performance, and spatial design. Ke investigates diverse embodied experiences through different media, and their work involves the making and assembling of objects, images, texts, and bodies.
Ke is a member of the artist-run space, The Plumb (Toronto), and a contributor to the creative group, Coordinator (Guangzhou), with its publications held in collections including Asia Art Archive, the Met, and Tai Kwun Contemporary. Ke has been in a ceramic residency at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen and led a design workshop at the European Architecture Student Assembly (Spain). Ke has exhibited internationally in China, Canada, and the UK.
