Ke Zhang (b. 1996, Chengdu) is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Toronto, Canada. Ke holds an Honours BA in architecture and visual studies at the University of Toronto and an MFA with Distinction from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Ke’s practice encompasses sculpture, drawing, photography, installation, video, performance, and spatial design. Ke investigates diverse embodied experiences through different media, and their work involves the making and assembling of objects, images, texts, and bodies. Ke is a contributor to Coordinator (Guangzhou), with its publications held in collections including Asia Art Archive, the Met, and Tai Kwun Contemporary. Ke has been in a ceramic residence at the Pottery Workshop in Jingdezhen and co-led a design workshop at EASA (Spain). Ke has exhibited internationally in Chengdu, Toronto, Montreal, and London, UK.
